October 29, 2007 Forty-Fourth Day

The Worth County Board of Supervisors met pursuant to adjournment with all members present.

Motion by Bang, second by Creger, carried to approve the October 22, 2007 board minutes.

Motion by Creger, second by Bang, carried to recess the regular board meeting.

Motion by Bang, second by Creger, carried to open the public hearing for the Worth County Recycling Center building bid letting at 9:30 A.M. There was no public comment.

Motion by Creger, second by Bang, carried to close the public hearing at 9:32 A.M.

Motion by Bang, second by Creger, carried to reconvene the regular board meeting.

Motion by Creger, second by Bang, carried to enter into a contract with Koenigs Construction, St. Ansgar in the amount of $194,000 for the Worth County Recycling Center building.

Motion by Creger, second by Bang, carried to approve the sheriff’s monthly and quarterly reports.

Motion by Creger, second by Bang, carried to recess the regular board meeting.

Motion by Creger, second by Bang, carried to open the public hearing for DD2/Main at 10:00 A.M. Jim Hyde, Worth County Engineer, read his report regarding the petition filed by Mike Gaskill on September 17, 2007. John Greve, representing Larry & Harlan Peterson stated their objection and request for damages. Mike Gaskill gave his reasons for the request. Rolf Aronsen, representing the Board of Supervisors, stated the requirements of the board. Public discussion was heard. The Worth County Board of Supervisors will make their decision on Monday, November 5, 2007.

Motion by Creger, second by Bang, carried to close the public hearing at 10:45 A.M.

Motion by Bang, second by Creger, carried to reconvene the regular board meeting.

The meeting adjourned until 9:00 A.M., November 5, 2007.
