Rearing pond was a bust.  In talking with Wahl, the heavy freeze we had just after stocking the fry probably killed them.  Otherwise, the netting seemed to have kept out predator fish and water depth was adequate during time frame.  Forms are submitted to build permanent dike.

Did a living history demonstration of WW2 guns for  NK and NC.  Teachers and students thought it was really great.

Sime moved to accept the naturalist’s report.  Second Faber.  Motion carried.

Block showed the board a letter from the state forester that said removing firewood from the reforestation areas at Ochee Yahola could be beneficial.  The board allowed Block to advertise another fire wood sale.

Vansteenburg arrived and presided over the meeting.

The director asked if the board would like him to advertise the hay fields for sale.  The board agreed that the hay should be sold.  The director may open the bids and accept the highest offer if there is not time for a board meeting.

The DNR asked if we would be interested in custom mowing the native grass seeding at Bright’s Lake for $11/acre.  The board agreed to do the work if we had the time.

The director was given permission to advertise for bids on the sidewalk at Kuennen’s Quarry.

The board decided not to have a July meeting because there would not be a quorum for the meeting scheduled on July 3.
