MINTUES

FEBRUARY 5, 2009

 

 

 

Secretary Christiansen called the meeting to order at 7:00 PM.  Board members also present were Randy Sime and Justin Faber.  Others present were: Dave Stine, Dan Block and Dean Mueller.

 

Sime moved to approve the agenda.  Second by Faber.  Motion carried.

 

Faber moved to approve the minutes.  Second by Sime.  Motion carried.

 

Director’s report:

  1. Our new server is here Joel just has not had time to install it.
  2. Winterfest was an excellent workshop.
  3. We will be taking fire training updates this month.
  4. MyCountyParks.com is up and running.  The fee structure will be decided later this month.  Should be around $150 per year if we would like to use it to promote our program.
  5. Our budget did not change at the budget meeting and there has been no word since.
  6. We did stock trout in January and will plan for a February stocking.
  7. Met with the heat pump folks today and should have an estimate for replacing the one at KQ next week.

Faber moved to accept the Naturalist’s report.  Second by Sime.  Motion carried.

 

Dave Stine gave a report on the Foundation. 

 

Sime moved to approve the WCDA grant application for play equipment at Kuennen’s.  Second by Faber.  Motion carried.

 

The Director updated the board on the appeal for Silver Lake Park and should have a letter sent to Washington DC next month.
